CallControlGateway 2.0
The ESTOS Remote CallControlGateway integrates Microsoft Office Communications Server and Microsoft Office Communicator with TAPI- and most CSTA-compliant PBX systems via SIP and uaCSTA. It reduces the need to upgrade to new telecommunications infrastructure, extending investment protection for a businesses’ existing communications technology.
Integrating OCS with existing PBX systems via remote call control protocol.
For seamless integration of Microsoft OCS with traditional PBX systems (IP PBX, hybrid, TDM), the ESTOS CallControlGateway software serves as the remote call control interface that can be implemented with the Microsoft OCS platform. The telephony functions are controlled and monitored through the Microsoft Communicator Client using standard SIP and uaCSTA. OCS routes the information over the ESTOS CallControlGateway back through the PBX to the calling parties.
Extended Investment protection
The majority of PBX systems do not support the SIP and uaCSTA (TR/87) standards. For a large portion of the PBX install base these technologies are too new. Today, a direct SIP-based telephony integration for Microsoft Office Communications Server is only available for a small number of telephony systems and/or SIP-compliant provider services, meaning most companies would have to invest in a new system or a costly hardware upgrade. Using ESTOS CallControlGateway, businesses can immediately realize the benefit of Microsoft OCS and SIP without needing to swap out their existing telecom infrastructure.
Legacy, non-VoIP and hybrid systems
ESTOS integrates new and existing systems with Microsoft Office Communications Server and Microsoft Office Communicator. Since 2005, ESTOS has offered cost-effective, easy-to-install middleware that enables all TAPI- and most CSTA-compliant VoIP, hybrid and TDM telephony systems to integrate with OCS.
